Embracing ESG+R in the first half of 2024
At Realterm, we’re committed to making a positive impact not just for our investors and tenants, but also for the communities where we operate. As a global corporate citizen, we strive to be socially responsible and have a positive impact in the communities we serve. Here are a few of our recent ESG+R initiatives:
- Annapolis Light House Coat Drive: We partnered with Annapolis Light House to collect and donate coats, ensuring warmth for those in need during the colder months.
Valentine’s for Seniors: In collaboration with Brightview Annapolis – a senior living facility in our community – we prepared and delivered 190 goody bags and heartfelt cards to the residents, spreading joy and showing our appreciation for our senior community members.
Meals on Wheels: Our Realterm accounting teams dedicated a day to packing meals with care and commitment to support the delivery of over 5,000 meals daily in the Maryland area for Meals on Wheels. The nonprofit provides nutritious meals to individuals who are homebound due to age, disability, or illness, ensuring they receive the support they need.
Zandvoort Beach Cleanup: We spent the afternoon partnering with Duurzaam Bedrijfsuitje cleaning up the Dutch beach.
- Global Recycling Day E-waste events:
In honor of Global Recycling Day, our offices in Annapolis, Montréal and Ft. Lauderdale took significant steps towards a greener future: - The Annapolis office recycled 497 lbs. of computers/laptops, monitors, cell phones and printers.
- The Montréal office recycled 66 lbs. of computer screens, 70 lbs. of computers/laptops, and 86 lbs. of speakers/miscellaneous electronics.
- The Fort Lauderdale office recycled 28 lbs. of screens, 28 lbs. of computers/laptops, 65 lbs. of cables/miscellaneous electronics and 240 lbs. of servers.
