Back-to-School Backpack Program

For the past four years, Realterm has made a significant impact on local students in Anne Arundel County by providing backpacks filled with essential school supplies. Realterm’s involvement in the program aligns with our belief that supporting students contributes to the growth and prosperity of our community as a whole. Every year, Realterm is proud to provide backpacks and supplies for students at West Annapolis Elementary School and Mills-Parole Elementary School in Annapolis, MD.

Rembrant Park Restoration

Our Amsterdam team partnered with Rembrandt Park for a volunteer event this fall. They were tasked to help restore a children’s amusement center area of the Rembrandt Park for public use after being closed for several weeks in August. The team collaboratively tackled several projects: tearing down huts and small, cabin structures, raking the ground where the huts/cabins stood, removing debris, lifting a pedal boat out of the water, and decorating for the grand re-opening.

Annapolis Run for The Light House

Realterm has been partnering with The Light House of Annapolis, MD for the past couple of years. As a major sponsor for the Annapolis Run for The Light House, several of our employees volunteered and participated in the Run. All proceeds from the event benefited The Light House, a well-known public charity working to end the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Arundel Rivers Restoration

A group of 43 employees from the Annapolis, Baltimore and New York offices came together to volunteer with the Arundel Rivers Federation. We spent a few hours at the Anne Arundel Fairgrounds clearing out vegetation from newly planted trees in an effort to protect our local rivers and watersheds. This annual volunteer event is one of our favorite events that our employees look forward to every year as an opportunity to give back not only to our local community but also to our local waterways!

Moisson Montréal Food Bank

Our Montréal office has been volunteering with Moisson Montréal Food Bank for several years now. They are a critical organization that provides food to 303 community agencies on the island of Montréal. Through this network, nearly 900,000 food aid requests are fulfilled every month in Montréal.

Since they house such a large facility and meet the needs of thousands of people in the community, they require 75 volunteers along with staff every day to work in the warehouse. We are grateful to have a team of 24 of our employees sign up to volunteer this year. Working in a cooler bagging and boxing up frozen vegetables and grains for 6 hours was no small feat but we had a good time! Our team looks forward to partnering with this invaluable organization every year.

We Care and Friends Stanton Center Thanksgiving Dinner

The week of Thanksgiving, several employees and their family members volunteered alongside local community leaders at the 32nd annual We Care and Friends Stanton Center Thanksgiving Dinner. We Care and Friends host various events throughout the year, but the annual Thanksgiving Dinner tends to be an event that locals look forward to each year and embodies the spirit of giving in the city of Annapolis. During the event, our employees and their family members greeted attendees at the sign-in table, served food and drinks, cleared plates, helped at the kids’ craft table, and socialized with all those who attended.

We Care and Friends is a local grass roots organization that operates out of the Stanton Community Center in the Annapolis downtown area with a mission in creating sustainable communities.

Mission Bon Acceuil

Several Montreal employees that are BOMA members volunteered at this local mission packing food for distribution this past November. Established in 1892, Mission Bon Acceuil (Welcome Hall Mission) is the largest doorway to help Montrealer’s in need. Programs and resources are available to support people experiencing homelessness, families living in precarity, young and single mothers, at-risk youth and the elderly. Throughout its history, Mission Bon Acceuil has adapted to meet the changing needs of Montreal and the people they serve.

Boys & Girls Club Christmas Toy Drive

Realterm partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Annapolis/Anne Arundel County to provide toys for children between the ages 6 to 12 years old who attend their clubs. Realterm employees shopped for the new gifts and then came together for a gift-wrapping party at our global headquarters in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Boys & Girls Club is a perfect example of providing positive change, especially in providing safe environments and engaging programs for local children since it was founded in 1860.
